Cosmic Punk Nights: Kid Congo Powers, MacArthur Park, and a Skateboard Dream

evening with none other than Kid Condo Powers. He graciously allowed me to use his music for my one and only skateboard video part in the 2024 Blockhead Skateboards video “Heads Up!”. The song is “Chicano Studies” by Kid Congo Powers & The Pink Monkey Birds 2016 album ‘La Araña Es la Vida’. He actaully thanked me for using it, and said he watched the wold video and loved it. This guy was the guitar player in not only The Cramps (1980-1983), but also The Gun Club (1981-1996). Two of my favorite bands back in high school. Funny how the cosmic universe works sometimes.
